A part of our Safe School Flan includes the enforcement of the school uniform policy. Uniforms can be purchased at almost any major store that carries children's clothing; we also have select collared shirts available at the Student Store. See below for uniform policy information:
DRESS CODE POLICY:
In order to increase student achievement, Pio Pico School believes that grooming, appearance, and safety is important for all students. Clothing needs to be clean, appropriate and protect the body from the sun and possible falls on the asphalt playground. It is the policy of Pio Pico Middle School that students wear uniforms. Pio Pico uniforms are white, maroon, or grey tops with collars and navy blue, beige, or black bottoms.
Girls may wear navy blue, beige, or black jumpers, skirts, pants, or walking shorts. They must wear a white, maroon, or grey collared shirt.
Boys may wear navy blue, beige, or black long pants or walking shorts with a white, maroon, or grey collared shirt.
Blouses and shirts must cover the midriff, and no thin strap tank tops or strapless tops are allowed.
All pants, shorts, and skirts must be worn at the waistline. Pants and shorts should be belted at the waistline.
No sport logos or emblems on jackets, sweaters, or pullovers.
Caps and hats should not be worn at anytime unless for medical reasons.
Shoes with socks are a practice of good hygiene; tennis shoes Or low-heeled rubber-sole shoes are recommended.
No high heels, sandals, flip flops, or jelly shoes should be worn. Open toed shoes are not permitted. Excessive jewelry (necklaces, rings, bracelets, dangling earrings) should be kept at home.
For safety reasons, students may not wear facial piercings, large hoop earrings, gages, or spiked earrings when at school.
Belts with studs or chains are not permitted at school.
