Principal's Message

Dear Pio Pico Middle School Community,

It is an honor to be given the opportunity to lead the Pio Pico Middle School community this school year.  This is a responsibility I do not take lightly.  

As a person who attended and graduated from LAUSD schools, I understand how important it is for students and parents to know that their right to a quality instructional program in a safe learning environment is responsibly made a reality for every student.        

As a former Teacher Assistant, Substitute Teacher, Teacher, Coordinator, and new Principal, I understand how critical instructional support and collaboration among educators is to achieve a common goal.  

At Pio Pico we are committed to collaboratively creating an educational environment that enriches the lives of all our stakeholders.  Therefore, I welcome this opportunity to work alongside fellow Panthers to ensure all students experience Academic Excellence, Joy and Wellness, and a sense of Engagement and Collaboration.  We will Invest in Staff and implement Operational Effectiveness at our school site level to make our goals a reality. 

We recommend that all parents set up their Parent Portal accounts by visiting https://parentportal.lausd.net and completing the registration. Doing so will provide you access to your child’s academic progress and allow you to easily communicate with your child’s teachers.
