Donors Choose Project: Mirrors Reading the Reflects ALL Students
Our Project:
As an educator I am constantly eager to provide students with enriching material that not only will support their learning but that can provide a mirror into all of the opportunities of this world. Meaning most books that are present in our school do not reflect the makeup of our school.
As an educator I am constantly eager to provide students with enriching material that not only will support their learning but that can provide a mirror into all of the opportunities of this world. Meaning most books that are present in our school do not reflect the makeup of our school.
A rainbow of culture and backgrounds is what our school represents, thus these books will allow students to see that they too have a place in society.
These book will provide students with a "mirror" in which they can reflect on andsee various paths for them to explore.
Lastly, these books will provide students a plethora of adventures and experiences all while sitting at home or in the classroom. In other words, these books can be a gateway to imagination and exploring lives that they see at a distance.
